Natchez Trace Day 2

Natchez Trace Day 2

I am working 1/2 days (mornings) while I am traveling, so only driving 3 hours a day. Really nice relaxing drive, no trucks and for the most part no traffic, so turn up the radio and have a relaxing drive. I went over the Tennessee River in Alabama, I swear it was wider there than some parts of Kentucky lake. Where the bridge crosses the river, there used to be a ferry to get across back in the early 1800’s. The ferry owner charged Andrew Jackson $75,000 to ferry his army across the river, that was allot of money back then. There are also various Indian burial mounds along the trace. Then my day ended at a great national forest campground, lake front 🙂
