Natchez Trace Day 3

Natchez Trace Day 3

My final day traveling the Natchez Trace from Nashville. I was originally planing on staying at the free campground on the Trace, but the current temps are in the 90’s and there was a bathroom issue at this campground, I decided to take a detour and go to Vicksburg today instead of the morning, I splurge at a campground for $36 so I had electric, as I write this it is 93 here. But the drive was nice, I exited the trace 30 miles before the terminus. There is a place called Witch Dance, supposedly witches back in the early 1800’s used to party at this spot and where they danced, nothing no longer grows. Now me I notice allot of pine trees, so who knows. There is also this remnants of a town Rocky Springs, not much left, a couple of safes from the post office and a general store. The church is still in place, I suspect it is still used, built in 1837. The sign in front shows worship is once a month and has a a hvac unit? Interesting.
