The Texas Ranger Museum is located in Waco TX. Was an interesting couple of hours. They have a 45 minute movie about the history of the rangers to present day. Originally starting out as a small group with the responsibility to resolve land issues between farmers and ranchers. Most displays honoring some of the more famous ranger. Then of course they had the Lone Ranger and Walker of course 🙂 They also had many of guns involved with Bonnie and Clyde ambush.
Many displays of different firearms used by the rangers. Some of the special engraved guns from different rangers were so impressive, it was like a piece of art or fine jewelry. The display of the colt walker revolver from 1846 was also very interesting. This revolver has been popular in many western movies by actors such as Clint Eastwood. Anyway, you were able to pick up the gun, 1st it is long, 2nd it weighs 5 pounds. Now that might not sound like allot, but it is really heavier than modern hand guns to handle.
