I ventured into beach camping this week. What a great experience. Met some nice people and serious RV’s. Beach camping is basically off the grid camping, leave no trace, bring out what you bring in. Solar panels have replaced the generator. I checked into the Mustang Island state park my last day just to have a shower and it felt so good.
It has been nice, but I am ready to move on. The salt that covered my van was incredible, I washed it yesterday, but that just got the top layer off, will clean it again once I leave. Again, like Galveston, very low key area for a beach community. No congestion, and unlike Florida, miles and miles of accessible beach that is free or small permit cost. At one beach, miles from anything, the ice cream man came around!!
