Bledsoe Creek State Park, Gallatin, TN

Bledsoe Creek State Park, Gallatin, TN

Old Hickory Lake, North of Nashville (Cumberland River) April 17th – 20th

This was a beautiful state park. 5 Stars. This trips primary goal was testing out my mobile office and that was a success. There are campsites on the lake. Various trails and some history. The basic story is back in the 1760’s, the Bledsoe brothers were long hunters that came to the area. The term long hunters refer to hunting parties that made hunting expeditions into the area generally lasting around 6 months. These early hunting parties brought back stories of the area that contributed to the settlers migrating to the area.
