Well it appears I traveled near the Chisholm trail as I traveled to Oklahoma from Texas. As I crossed in Oklahoma I noticed different things referencing the Chisholm Trail. Now, I am familiar with the name as it is related to cattle drives, from all those westerns I watched as kid. In Duncan OK, they have a Chisholm Trail Heritage Center. I wasn’t expecting much, but was actually surprised a little.
They had a few exhibits, allot of interactive things for kids. The ladies at the front desk were really nice, there was a movie starting explaining the history of the trail and they came and got me so I wouldn’t miss it. They did a nice job explaining the history of the trail. I believe the trail came through Duncan. The other part was the art exhibit, I am not an art person, but it was nice, many paintings by artists living back in the 1800’s. It kinda reminded of my grandfather who did western paintings. So we will see what interesting things I can find tomorrow.
