While driving east on I-90 the 1880 town is just off the highway in the middle of nowhere. This will be my last make believe western town. The owner collected old buildings from around the area and moved them to this location. Most if not all buildings are from the late 1880’s, even the outhouses. He collected allot of western memorabilia and antiques to display within the different buildings. Think this is one of the better make believe towns.
He must have had some connections to the movie industry, had allot of signed photos of old western stars. One of the saloons did a show every couple hours you could enjoy. Dances with Wolfs was filmed near by and he acquired allot of the props from the movie, like the wagon that took Lt Dunbar(Costner)to the fort in the beginning of the movie. Some of the costumes and many behind the scenes photos. Was a nice stop, if you happen to pass by.
